Re: Places to buy exotics in New Jersey?

I honestly couldn't help you there but instead of straws or violas if you do end up getting an exotics I would recommend indos. They are big , in my opinion they look good and mine have proved to be very hardy

Re: Crabular Pictures!

Your setup looks great and very natural but if those things in the food bowl are hermit crab pellets you may want to get rid of them as most contain copper sulphate which is poisonous to crustaceans. Sorry if I came across rude

Sorry the last time it posted in the wrong place

I've ordered three hermit crabs and all I know is that they're Nigerian species. What species should I expect. My best guess was c. Rubescens but I really don't know

Please read I have possibly ordered C.Rubescens

So I was scrolling through the bug page on a Uk animal site and a mysterious hermit crab is listed all it says is Nigerian sp 2 hermit crabs so I ordered them. Re: Lunar made a friend

You might want to add some sort of sand before the edgae of the pool so that they don't track coco fibre into the water I have a sexed pair of gecarcoidea lallandi (they didn't find out one was a female before import ) and they are very very messy

Re: Transport Crabs Overseas

I'm in the UK and we have pretty strict laws when it comes to animals like we're not legally allowed to ship vertebrates unless it's by courier but the laws on inverts aren't as strict I think there's something out there on bringing inverts in but it can be done

Re: Hi from a couple of newbies

Hi, My son (10 years old) and I are very new to the hermit crab world, so I wanted to introduce ourselves. We got a couple of hermies because he wanted an "exotic" pet, and I wasn't considering a snake, lol. I think I've become more attached to the little guys than my son is. We started with two, b...
