To be honest, Given Stella’s history I do think that you should be proactive about the situation. It’s better to be safe than sorry. I use them, but haven’t bought them at a store like this.
My concern is wondering if the barnacle was treated.

I agree, wood is super expensive, well stated above.
There’s a lack of clear totes around here, but the largest I found was a black tote of about 50 gallons.
I thought of building a wooden enclosure, but the price of the project stopped me from doing it.
