Re: What can I put in my vivarium?
I've been doing some research and it seems that tree frogs, salamanders, or newts would do well with some minor tweaking. I've ruled out the tree frogs because the tank is in my bedroom and I'm not nocturnal. I'm thinking either a tiger salamander or a crested newt Sent from my iPod touch using Tapa...

What can I put in my vivarium?
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180111/bc0cecec1d827dcdb1937a4da86a8a0c.jpg now that my last red claw crab has died, my vivarium is desolate despite the last remaining black tetra and gold inca snail. The tank is 20 gallons with around 5 gallons of freshwater in the aquarium half and the other s...

The smell was so bad that I had to bury her, I'm still very curious why all of my red claws died all of the sudden. Could the specks be some sort of parasite that has been killing my red claws?

Re: Dead crab under the sand
It's possible that your crab is molting, and that is his exoskeleton that he shed. He will eat that, and climb back up when he's done. The whole molting process varies from crab to crab, but sometimes it takes them a couple of months. Try to be patient. I never saw this message and I just dug him u...

Dead crab under the sand
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171222/08dc2b44f56eba99c60d68ffc92ccc1b.jpg so zeta maybe a month ago, burrowed down right beside the glass. I didn't want to scare him or for the light to bother him while he was molting so I put a piece of paper over his burrow. Today, when I came home, the pape...

How many isopods is enough?
My friend and I have noticed that our isopods don't seem to being doing much "clean-up crew"-ing. She asked me if it was because we only got 40 each but I'm not sure how many is enough. She has a forty gallon and I have a seventy five gallon and both of ours have 40 isopods (give or take a few since...

Re: What kind of shells are these?
So, I'm still pretty 'meh' at shell ID's, but I'd lean towards a tulip shell (Fasciolaria species), or alternatively a triton type. Sorry - that's the best I got. :? it doesn't seem to be either of those but thanks for trying, now I know some more shell names. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Re: New pools!
Those look great! Please know that hot glue usually doesn't hold up very well in water. Most people use aquarium glue. What kind of storage containers did you use? I really like them! :) I'll keep that in mind, it was a pain just trying to get them to stick. The containers are just plastic boxes I ...
