The platform is a wooden serving tray I got at the Dollar general that I glued PVC legs onto. I'm hoping it will keep the shells up by the water pools as opposed to buried in the sand. Because it has a lip all the way around it.

Basically done.
Okay here we go 75 gallons 8 to 9 in deep on the substrate. Temperatures been holding steady the water pools are on a separate level. With the shell shop around the water pools. How long that will last, until he decides to throw them off. I did pick him up two small friends, one of them hanging out ...

Re: Almost done
It's not a thin sheet of plexiglass. I am flipping it back and forth from one side to the other I've got handles on both sides now. If that works I won't switch it out, if that doesn't work I will switch it out. I may get another piece and have my husband cut and attach them to each other and see if...

Almost done
I think I've about got it. I need to figure out where to put the temperature humidity meter. I still need to wrap the tension rods with burlap. The plexiglass is warping, but I have put a single handle on the other side and what I will do is turn them upside down periodically and see if that stops t...

Re: Paint?
My Dollar trees are all in town. And the closest town is 15 miles away, that has stores. I have two little bitty towns 6 miles in either direction, I work at one of them, the Dollar general is at the edge of town. I work in the middle.

Paint?
I picked up a wooden tea tray at the Dollar general. I want to use it to set his water pools on so that they're not down in the sand. Can I paint those, or should I not?

I am in the middle of doing a 75 gallon tank it currently has 125-130 lb of play sand, the quikrete that's very white. I ran out what I ended up with was Garick play sand, this is a more brown sand is it safe to use?

Re: Gourds
I wonder if it would help if I soak them in salt water and then let them dry again

Gourds
I have some darn I don't remember what you call them, bottle gourds maybe. The ones that are fatter at the bottom and skinnier on top. I grew them about 18 years ago. And they've just been sitting in a basket on my back porch I cut a hole in the front and I'm going to use it for a hide. If it's too ...

Re: The back wall
Well there is the first 50 lb of sand and echo Earth, the humidifier runs three points short. It's only been in there about I don't know 25 minutes and I made the echo Earth last night so the sand ended up being a little cold, it's going to take a while to warm up. Tomorrow's will be warmer and I'm ...

Re: The back wall
Yeah, that's what I was afraid of cuz so far I've not been able to get the smaller ones to work I was just hoping the really big ones would. Yeah well, I guess I could just set it down in the corner on the sand if it falls off. When it falls off. [emoji1787]
