Re: Low Humidity
I had exactally the same thing happen. I had a 20L and humidity was ALWAYS an issue. I tried the homemade humidifier jar but it didn't work well it was much better just putting the bubblers in the water pools. But it still wasn't optimal. I ended up with bacterial bloom in my sand on one side becaus...

Re: Room for more hermit crabs?
You could always house them temporarily in a different tank. Lots of times people will give u the tank with the crabs. Or check CL for free tanks. you can also make a pretty big Rubbermaid tub home for them rather cheaply. I know how it is wanting to save every animal in need

Re: Appendage Damage!
Oh no! I'm pretty new to crabbing but it may have been a fight over territory? Im sure some more experienced crabbers will offfer u a more definitive answer but I would maybe ISO either the injured crabbie or the meanie crab to keep them apart till u can get them safely moved into your bigger ...

Re: Empty shell no body?
So the shell in question, are u sure it was the one said crabbie was wearing? Maybe double check your extra shells in the tank. hopefully it's just a spare. My crabbies will bury almost anything I leave directly on the sub. They will also dig up anything I have partially buried like the ends of stic...

Re: Humidity Help
If u haven't got a regular tank u could use a large Rubbermaid bin with a lid temporarily. I had to evacuate last feb. because of flood warnings and didn't want to leave my crabbies behind in case power was lost and we didn't have to drive far to get out of the flood zone so I thought just better to...

Re: Hello!
Hi! I'm pretty new to crabbing to. Been at it about 7mo. Since I got my first crab from a relative. It's great that your upgrading her living conditions! It may be that she was a bit of a bully because she is rather large and in a small tank with minimal shell selection. I'm still new to this but I ...
Re: All up!!
They look great! Nice colors!
5 of my 7 crabbies are down right now. I'm starting to really miss and worry about one of my girls that's been down since early June. Hopefully she'll be up soon!
