If u do see it just scoop it out with a plastic spoon or a scallop shell and toss it. If u don't see it then don't worry to much about it

Re: What do your crabs enjoy?
my guys love banana it's one one the only things I feed almost nightly and it never goes unpinched. They like both green and overripe so it changes up through the week as they are still greenish on shopping day. Coconut is another fav. Once in a while I buy fresh and they eat the meat and fiber but...
Re: Molting?
I'd just leave him be. If you accidentally disrupt him he can become disfigured or if the sand collapses down on him he could suffocate. You don't really need to get 2 of everything. Just leave a small dish of water and a small dish of dry food for when he comes up. As long as the sub stays moist an...

I wonder if these half logs are kiln dried? I read somewhere once that kiln drying vapes off whatever is toxic in pine. Just curious.
Anyways, I regard this place as like the Bible of all things crab!
And if Wode says it's all good I take her word for it!

Make sure that it does not contain sulphur dioxide. I think it a preservative of some kind. I've heard this is bad for crabs. And I would def not feed peaches if your are not certain that they are organic. I live in peach orchard country and know people who work the orchards they are heavily heavily...

Re: Trouble changing shell
He's prob just talking his time deciding if he wants to try it on or not and doesn't want any other crabs to steal it while he makes up his mind. My guys some times drag shells off and bury them if I leave them on the sub lol.

Re: Poop
My crabs tend to leave most of their poop in the water pools or in neat little piles around the tat but I rarely see it out side of the water when I do I just scoop it out with a scallop shell. I have six crabs and don't see much poop at all but my daughters have two dwarf hamsters and I sware all t...

Re: Leaf litter need cleaning?
Double check that the trees are not sprayed. i always get mine off the tree and rinse them and dry them in a salad spinner and lay them on cutting boards to dry. But that's just how I do it cuz I'm worried about unwanted pests hitching a ride into my tat. Idk but I suppose They eat them straight off...

Re: UTH Sapping humidity from air
I read before about someone dumping out their sub on a clean trash bags and spread it out to dry outside on a sunny day. I would try the dry EE personally. It just sounds a whole lot easier than baking or dumping to me.
