Re: Possible bacteria stuff
Once the tank is cleaned out it is fine to reuse immediately. Crabs don't have communicable diseases that we know of. I like to bleach or ammonia nasty tanks for safety, but when I've been lazy and just used soap and scrubbed it never caused a problem. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk Thank you...

Possible bacteria stuff
I recently adopted two crabbies and there may be possible icky stuff in their old tank. I have transferred them to a iso tank with new sub and clean decors, etc. We cleaned the old tank really well and will probably just store that for now. And I boiled everything. One of their old shells looked lik...

Covering Lid
Sharing what I have and it works pretty well. My handy friend made it for me out of plexi glass. I made foil cardboard covers for whatever uses (trap moisture when I don’t have light on, etc). It goes on top of my screen lid. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180115/caeea93a38aeefa008d95a109fc760df...

Re: Insulation material
Hi everyone! Happy New Year! I have adopted two crabbies and finding myself need to tweak current heating options. Has anyone tried this over Ultratherm? https://smile.amazon.com/Noico-waterproof-insulation-Self-adhesive-Deadening/dp/B075FBKVPK/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1515982228&sr=8-15&keywords=in...

Re: Do I need to replace this sand
Today the sand came in so my SO ablnd I started cleaning. The entire bottom layer seems affected with bacterial bloom. I have to deep clean the entire tank but I have at least one molter. She seemed undisturbed by us, just startled, we stopped but now what should I do. She's right where the infecte...

Re: 2 Recipes for 2 Hermies. Terrified.
DD found crabclaw exo parts so either Bearnie or Oona did a molt while their were down. Probably Oona as she was down longer. And ... trumpets, please ... Baba has risen! So now all are up and about. Time to re-decorate! Time to get knitting the climbing net for the little boogers. S...

Re: Ultratherm?
I really debated this as well because ghe 150 came with one across the back and the previous owners had several smaller UTH's attached to the sides of the tank. I'm an Ultratherm person 100% so I really considered whether or not I wanted the background, then an Ultratherm, then insulation OR Ultrat...
