Fuzzy oats
Hello I feed my PPs before I go to bed because they tend to eat while I'm sleeping. Recently I started giving them rolled oats which they love.... but when I wake up in the morning and go to toss out the food they didn't finish, the oats have fuzzy/spider webby looking stuff on them. :/ could it be ...

Re: Hermit crab disappearing act
If you're anything like me, after several molts you'll hardly notice whether theyre buried or above ground. I always think the first few times they bury cause me anxiety, especially when they're approaching their first molt with me. The first time Dusty molted he was M.I.A. for two months and I swe...

Hermit crab disappearing act
Does any one else feel uneasy when their hermits disappear deep under the sand? Like I know it's okay but one in particular will go under for days at a time and not come up for food! He also covers his holes and has been know to burrow over a little too! So sometimes I'm not even sure where in the t...

Re: Grape vines and roots
Leaves should be fine. Only way to find out if they like the grapes is to offer them! :D Okay thank you! Tried to offer them some tonight with their "trail mix" but haven't seen if they like it yet due to the fact they decided it was climbing night and stuck themselves to the lid.... slowly lifted ...

Re: Grape vines and roots
I've been growing some concord vines in the hopes they'll be sturdy enough to withstand the crabboos climbing exploits. It's slow growing, but I'm using poop-type ferts & will eventually pot them on the side of the tank. If you have pesticide free/fertilizer free grape vine, it may be worth a try d...

Grape vines and roots
Hello, I always see on lists that hermits can eat grape vines and roots. I grow grapes but not the normal ones, I grow the ones for jelly. I recently picked them all and was wondering if I could feed them some of these and some of the vines/roots. Also how would I prepare the vines/roots?
