Welcome! You've gotten great advice here so far. If any of your crabs bury themselves, never dig them up. If they are in the middle of molting, digging them up could be fatal. If any of those painted shells are empty, remove them. They are toxic. You can order extra shells on etsy, ebay, amazon and ...

That's really interesting. So our larger crabs will change less often it see.s. which is good, because those shells are expensive.

It sounds like you're doing everything right. I would cut out the ham and sausage. Sausage already has seasonings in it. And ham is very salty and may have preservatives. Do you give them calcium everyday? Give her some honey. That might boost her energy. Bee pollen.

I would say you need a lid. Tubs come with lids. Not only will there be no humidity, but they can climb out.

The correct consistancy of the substrate is what helps the tank stay humid. Usually the sand in the bag is moist to begin with. It needs to be sandcastle consistancy. If it's dry, it needs to be moistened with dechlor fresh or dechlor salt water.

They need calcium and protein daily. Is your wire lid sealed? Do you live in an extremely humid area? Otherwise I don't know how your humidity can be at 80%. Do you have a digital therm/hygro?
