I bought my Ultratherm long ago, but decided to apply it today because my heat bulb finally went out. But before I opened it I only now just noticed that the plug has this weird shape and I won't be able to plug it in to my normal wall outlets. Anybody know what this is called? Ultratherm a little too big
So I just got my Ultratherm and discovered that it hangs off the back of the tank about an inch or so on both sides. Can I still use this? Does it pose any safety hazards? Should I still insulate it with Reflectix?

Try sealing it up first, and if that doesn't get you where you want to be, consider installing a bubbler (like with a small air pump & airstone for an aquarium). With deep enough bowls and a sealed top these are often successful at generating enough humidity. Moss is great, don't get me wrong - but...
