Mesh Hammock
Hello!
Has anyone tried the mesh reptile hammocks for their crabitat? My concern is that their feet will stick in the holes of the mesh.
Also, what is your favorite hide for larger crabs?

Re: Aggressive Crab
Ok, I can try the bathing. He has a bunch of shells in his tank but maybe he just wants what the other crab has.
I will try to reintroduce him this weekend and see what happens. Thanks!

Re: Aggressive Crab
Ok, I can try to introduce him again to the 55 gallon tank. I did that previously and he chased them around but maybe I can get him/them used to it. Worth a try. My other option is to get him a couple of buddies for his tank and see if he can't make nice nice with them. Thanks for your responses!

Re: Aggressive Crab
He grabs them from behind and starts reaching into their shell and won't stop. He follows them around and shoves them out of the way when they are face to face. I think he is an alpha that is trying to be an alpha but I wonder if he needs his own colony? Does that sound accurate? Can he be introduce...

Aggressive Crab
Hello! Behavior Question: I have a medium sized PP that was in with my main colony. He had a small bit of his leg shell broken so I put him in isolation. He molted (although his hurt leg is deformed now). I have been trying to reintroduce him into the colony again but he is either very aggressive to...

Re: Safe coating for grapewood
I was just thinking tonight about adding some of those to the big tank, in fact! If they help with mold then I might need to get serious about it. Do you know of a good source for them? Or can I just grab some out of the yard?

Re: Safe coating for grapewood
Interesting. I have never heard that but I guess it makes sense that it would die off if it doesn't have anything else to feed on. I just worry about my own allergies. Thanks for the info!

Safe coating for grapewood
Hello! I bought a climbing 'jungle gym' made out of a few pieces of grapewood that have been screwed together and put it into my crabitat. It molded. Twice. I soaked it in salt water and it still molded. Does anyone know of a safe coating that I can apply to keep it from molding again? It is pretty ...
