Update: I moved him into an iso tank with a bunch of shells. He moved out of the shell that was way too big and now is in one... way too small. Should I just leave him in there? Or could I move him back to the original tank now?

When I used packing and duct tape the glue just melted. I bought that shiny silver tape for insulation and made sure it said it held up in temps over 100.

I was also having troubles keeping heat in. At first I used a piece of cardboard and tinfoil in two layers, and when I got my new one I just went to Home Depot and got some insulation.
