Re: Questions about Crabitat aswell as Crab behavior?
I second ditching the zoomed hermit crab salt and freshwater conditioner and getting prime. The yellow dye in the saltwater cannot be good for the little guys, and it is not nearly strong enough. I have tasted water from the ocean, and the instant ocean mixed to what it specifies is much stronger th...

Re: Adding live plants to crabitat
Not sure about crabbies, but pothos are poisonous to people and other pets when ingested. I think I have read that crabs ignore it, but I have never wanted to take the chance myself. Re: Little Siam(Yes, Again)
I had a crab, Tonks, wear one of those for two months, with plenty other shells. She was small in it so she probably had ample room, and I was happy about it. Re: Crabitote
I have no actual evidence or research into this, but I have read chemicals from plastic totes will leech into the substrate? But maybe I am extremely paranoid.

Re: Need teeny tiny shells (anyone live near a beach?)
I have some pretty tiny shells in the hopes one day, maybe I would need them but I can always get more should the need arise! I have no idea how to ship things but I will go to the post office Monday to see. What species are the babies, do you know? Feel free to message me and we can go from there, ...

Sponges can hold unwanted bacteria if you aren't careful about boiling them often.
