Re: Possibly dead
I dug up and relocated to an iso tank. If that one passes too I learned my lesson, but I was getting pretty worried. But to my suspicions I did have a dead hermie.

Possibly dead
It's been 3 months and a move since two of my crabs came up. I'm going to slowly search and scrap away the eco earth. Is that smart?? I think I smell something. I'm really scared I have a dead crab.

Re: My whole tribe went under!
I bought a little guy on Halloween and I haven’t seen him since. It is normal, it’s just them trying to destress bc who knows what the poor things have gone through before they finally made their way home to you. I went crazy the first time one of mine went down and I’m so glad that I had the suppo...

My whole tribe went under!
So I got a 20 gallon tank recently. And I k otw it's a boo boo but I transferred one that was buried already. I really hope my crab is okay. And I also go two new additions making 5 in total. Well the last week everyone is now buried. Temp is fine and humidity is staying consistantly with two sprays...

Re: My new fogger
I agree with Crab happens, foggers and excessive misting can cause floods! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Maybe it's my heat lamps making the humidity evaporate. But the lamps keep the tank at perfect temp. And the fogger is keeping it at perfect humidity. I spray and spray and the humidity goe...

Re: My new fogger
Fogger can oversaturate the substrate and cause bacterial blooms, so at the very least they should not be used constantly. I tried a fogger and the sand definitely got too wet and took days to dry out, and when the fogger was off my humidity was on the lower end. Best thing I ever did as far as hum...

My new fogger
I recently got a fogger and I'm super excited about it.
And my crabs LOVE it. I think they are rarely in their shell now.
But my problem is the dry food that I put in their and leave I their gets so wet and gross.
And I read something about a false bottom??

Guess who's back!!!
Captain jack came up from molting. This was my first molt. So generally I was worried the whole time. Captain jack is his name bc he only had one eye when I bought him. I'm pleased to announce hes grown back his other eye. Happy crabbers mom https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180718/47fbbc8956d49095...

Re: I have no idea
Is it bad that I don't have a clue if my crabs are getting ready to molt or have even molted? I've had them for 9 months and still consider myself new, but I read on here that so many owners recognize the signs. Before and after. Especially since we lose track of who they are and don't know who's u...

Re: Not moving out of the moss
I try and keep the humidity up. I have to spray at least 2 th times a day Hello! :) Did you just add the moss? What’s your humidity in the tank? The only thing I can think of is that the crabs really just love the moss, or are staying there to retain more humidity due to a possible lack of humidity ...

Re: Food questions
I change it every night to two nights depending on what it is. Fresh foods tend to get changed sooner. Hermits are scavengers.so they tend to like things a bit "yuckier" than we would think, so there is no real set time, I just prefer to not attract bugs so I pull fresh foods sooner than later. Lea...
