Re: Homemade Dry Mixes and Storage/shelf life
So as the topic points out. How do you store yoir own mixes....and how long are they good for on average. I know some variations depending on what you put in it account but I am curious. On that note I do offer a varriety of fresh meats fats fruits veggies...ECT from the pyramid. Along with my dry....

Re: Mold in tay
Just take the spot of mold out. It won't really hurt the crabs but it can get annoyingROSIEonFIRE wrote:Hey all. I seem to have a little spot of mold growing on the substrate against the tat wall. Should I do something about it or will it go away on own?

My crabbies are weird
I've been trying to get my crabs more used to me and they hide in their shells when I open the tank up. 3 out of the 4 I have will crawl in my hand but the big one won't. Any tips to get them used to me? I have had them for almost two months

Is It 100% Necessary to let water that you have dechlorinated sit for 24-48 hours? I've been doing this by cleaning a few empty bottles, filling them up with water, dropping the water conditioner as recommended, then letting them sit for 24-48 hours. I'm now wondering if I actually need to do this....

Re: Stuck
Es are pretty famous for doing just this! I have had them ditch shell and jump from my hands just from trying to hold them up by the shell to get a better look at them. Crabs are not so attached to their shells that they will risk their lives to keep them, but individual crabs have different amount...
Re: Stuck
I imagine if they absolutely can't get dislodged for any reason they eventually might, but I think that would be extremely rare. Crabs hold on to their shell as it is protection for their soft abdomen so it would take quite a lot to get them to just abandon their shells. Their legs and claws are ac...
Stuck
If a crab gets stuck somewhere because of the shell will they abandon the shell for another one?
