Re: Nightly menu
Sorry y'all, I've been so busy with work! Here's the missed meals https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180914/99b1f1cb30268204b3cfd197a7e4353d.jpg I forgot to take an after photo, but there was only a bit of the walk in the woods mix left. Everything else was GONE!! The crawfish was the first to go! ...

Re: Hermies Kitchen offering 25% off this week
I order a lot from HK and I'm always pleased with what I get. I always order well in advance because their shipping time is a bit on the long side. I order their hermit crab subscription monthly on top of all the other food. I put the whole complete diet in one bowl and all the other "side items" in...

Very First Molt was a success!!
My E name Will Turner just emerged from his molt. I didn't know who else to tell because I am beyond giddy. This is my very first successful molt!! He went down the last week of July as soon as I moved him from a 10 gallon to a 40 gallon. He is SOOOOOOOO hairy and his legs and pinchers are so sharp....

Re: Betta fish questions!
I have a baby betta and current he's in a 10 gallon with a filter system and gravel etc etc. hes about a month old now. So he in there with 7 ghost shrimp which clean the tank, 2 mystery snails and two Afrian dwarf frogs. It's brilliant actually cause I actually don't do much tank maintenance except...

Re: Wood and mold
Isopods, huh? I still have to do some research and wrap my head around those. I’ll definitely try the soak in MSW technique. Thanks! I understand the hesitation I also was very reluctant about the isopod, but I swear by them I haven't seen any poop in the tank and more importantly no mold. They nev...

Re: Wood and mold
I also found mold in my wood, I cleaned it off and soaked it in salt water After that I let it air dry in the sun for a whole day. Waited until it was completely dry to put it back in. I was also lucky enough to get isopods to help prevent the mold from coming back. No mold ever since. Sent from my...

Re: NEW crabs
My E's are both down but they've never shown interest in the wheel so far. I have ONE PP that does, the rest don't go near it. haha All of my crabs have no interest in the wheel either so I took it out. They enjoy climbing and digging so i replaced the wheel with leaf litter to dig and chill in and...

Yeah, it's just her. I keep hoping I'll trip over more, but mostly she is so active I want to make sure she has the space she needs. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180901/9c63c66d412a4df66254138171306c84.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180901/c647b0fc9702ac7f86dad181055dd508.jpg https://...

Re: Question about using net.
Thank you guys for your input I did think about double layering it so that I could weave in fake plants better but I'll scratch that idea now. I ended up pulling the net tight and my crabs are not having issues with legs getting caught anymore.

Question about using net.
I used fish net to make a climbing apparatus and canopy for my guys. I found one actually using it and for a little worried he might get tangled and trapped. Has anyone had accidents using fish nets? Is it best not to use it? Here is a picture so that you can see what I did. https://uploads.tapatalk...

Re: My new fogger
I love my fogger and have been using it the entire time. However I can adjust the thickness of my fog and place the tube above my water dish so any drips go into the bowl and not the substrate. No issues for me. Some people use timers on their fogger. My crabs seem to like it too I have to say, they...

Re: Good places to get shells?
Deltonaseashells.com is from the list provided from the HCA I think it's was formally Richards Seashells or vice versa. I've ordered from then twice with excellent customer service and I've ordered from Naples as well which was equally as nice. Just have to check out what they have in stock accordin...
