This is the same problem I’m having. I insulated it to and still can’t get it above 70f.

Re: Crabina is back!
I’m getting ready to switch mine to my new 20 gallon tank. I’m really hoping the little guy comes up soon. He went down on October 16.

Re: Crabina is back!
So glad she came back up, my little one has been down for three weeks. Very stressful, this will be it’s first molt if it comes back up.

Re: Not active
1. What kind of substrate is used in your tank and how deep is it? I have the fluckers all natural sand mixture for crabs. It’s about 5 inches deep right now been slowly add some bc I have one crab that’s been buried for a week. 2. Do you have gauges in the tank to measure temperature and humidity? ...

Not active
I have a camera set up to watch my hermit. After running thru a 24 hour video I noticed my hermit spent 60 mins eating, going to the salt water and then right back to same spot and sitting there for the rest of the 23 hours. Is it normal that he’s not active?

Tank Temperature

The temperature of my tank is usually around 72 to 76 degrees Fahrenheit. I wondering if I should try to get my tank warmer and then maybe he wou...

Re: How do I figure out what kind of hermit crabs I have?
I didn’t have much knowledge. But on the 10 hour drive home from the beach i did a lot of research and knew we needed to get them switched over as soon as possible. I couldn’t wait to set up their new home and was so excited when they switched into their new shells! It was like Christmas morning. Lo...

Re: How do I figure out what kind of hermit crabs I have?
Thank u for your reply. I have been keeping my eye out for a 20 gallon and will move up soon. I assume my small crab is molting and don’t want to disturb him.
