Re: My first bacterial bloom - urgent/emergency kinda?
I’m kinda stirred up but glad he is fine.. for now. 1. Did I disturb his molting process? Or was he just destressing? There was no exoskeleton in the hole. Curly - If he was down there and there was no exo beside him, and he doesn't look pale and soft - he was not molting. 2. I’m getting more plays...

I took my chances and uncovered him, t...

Shining up used pants (shells) with 1200 grit sandpaper?
Hi friends ! I made a post a little while ago about finding an amazing deal on S-XXL shells! I finally got them! They needed a good bath, so I did that, they’re so beautiful yet so dull, I’ve read online that 1200 grit sandpaper may polish em up, has anyone done this? Any tips? https://uploads.tapat...

Thanks for the heads up! I shall look into it moreJTKermie wrote:Hard to say. I've seen lots of it marketed as green sand, but it's a pellet-like plant fertilizer product.

Re: Finally some shell success!! Very lucky & happy
You did awesome! I just got ripped from an outfit on the fleaBay. Was advertised and pictured as being 10 turbo shells with 1" opening and it wound up being an assortment bag with only 4 shells ~1"ish. The rest are tiny. The bag was $14 shipped all-in. Thanks! Hopefully the stubborn guy will change...

Gaia Green???
Any opinions on this brand of greensand? It’s literally the only greensand product I can find anywhere online (and seems kinda pricey)! Tia

Finally some shell success!! Very lucky & happy
As a Canadian, I’ve been having problems finding medium/large shells, especially at an affordable price. This was the first thing I saw on USA Facebook marketplace a couple days ago. So excited to receive & clean them up for my tank. Thought I’d share my success as a reminder to check marketplace! I...

Help me buy the correct size please!
Thanks everyone for your comments, I tried to provide some variation, such as green banded turbos, lighter green turbos, and tapestry Doesn’t seem to care for them but loves to try them on, I have the non polished ones I linked to coming in the next few days. However, luck seemed to be on my side be...

Re: PPS Method Question
I don’t use the PPS method. My newbies have always gone straight in regardless of previous conditions. The method itself is based on veterinary emaciation protocol for reptiles. However, vets raise temperature over a period of hours, not days, and full humidity immediately. Most hermit crabs are al...

PPS Method Question
Hi all, I’m unsure if this is the correct thread to post under. I haven’t purchased or adopted crabs in years, I wasn’t aware there was such a method. I kinda just put him in my tank and he’s been fine ever since (I’ve had him for around 10+ish years). I’m not purchasing or adopting any crabs, but I...

Re: Help me buy the correct size please!
Those are a great choice of shells but they probably won't as big as you're hoping. They will have more room inside though because the shells are thinner and lighter, and should fit him a bit better. With turbos, openings are half the size of the total shell, which makes them a bit easier to buy bl...
