Re: Slate that Carol used for Jonathan, Details? What is this Process?
Where is this data? I'm so curious! There is so many ways of crabbing, but what she did worked. Part of the interest I have with my little buddies is providing them with the beat captive life possible. Besides the basics what really works? Hands on approach, Carol seemed very involved. Carol also di...

Thanks. I just adopted one today, now if the other E would come out from wherever it went for the last week they could meet.

Thanks, I just got awesome HC food ( protein pack) from Etsy yesterday to boost their diet along with all the fresh stuff I give my other crabs. Yes it's amazing how fragile HC are yet they go through so much and seem to be able to live.

Adopted 2 HC that Have Lived in Conditions Opposite of Good for over a Year, and they seem fine. How Can that Be?
A stranger reached out to me asking if I could adopt his herrmies, if course I said yes! I started asking about the conditions they lived in within the past year since they had them. I was told these 2 medium herrmies lived in a 10 gallon tank, fed store bought pellets, no top to keep the moisture i...

Slate that Carol used for Jonathan, Details? What is this Process?
After reading about Carol and her spectacular ways, I'm wondering about the slate she put in the tank for molting. There wasn't too much detail given, any idea what this process is about? Had anyone tried it? Also, how would the HC know to pick that one spot? So many questions!

Good to know. He's so tiny in a 75 gallon tank if he was dead I would never find him. Thanks!

Re: The Best Number of Hermit Crabs to Have?
Gosh now I'm so questioning why I have 5 HC in a 75 gallon, I thought I was doing a good thing based on so many reads. Now I'm wondering if 2 would have been more ideal for longevity.
