Re: Shell Care
Also, do you olive oil the inside of the shell, or just outside?

Shell Care
How long after you polish the shells with olive oil can you put them into the tank?
Do you soak them in salt water before polishing them?

Hye Kim, welcome to the forum! If you want to attach photos, the easiest way is downloading the Tapatalk app. Otherwise, you can link photos by uploading it elsewhere and hyperlinking to it. From the sounds of things, it seems like you're using a light for heat? Post a pic, and we can certainly help...

This might look like another crab photo, but I'm proud to say that Someone went into the freshwater pool, came up, and got the dwarf hair grass stuck on their shell, meaning they fully submerged. =D I've wondered if they can find the access point, and they did. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200...

I have never been more excited to see poop in water. For it to be here, that means then came down, walked to the edge, then went back up. Second thoughts.. He must've pooped when he was above on egg crate. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200130/a3425c63b01b282b8b5bfce219fc28e5.jpg This guy just e...

Re: Building a multiple tank stand soon, but I have weight questions
Yeh I know [emoji30] - I tested each side for 48 hrs. And I put 3 thick layers of silicone. Fingers crossed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Silicone doesn't stick to silicone. If you did 3 thick lines, I hope it was 3 lines before they were cured. Also, the curing time is significantly longer. ...

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal
So today was moving day. The biggest, currently in the banded tapestry shell, is a female! Otherwise, I wanted to just move them fast. A total of 7 moved over.. 1 banded tapestry, 2 tapestry, 1 Babylon, 2 greens, 1 fox. I think I had 8 crabs.. Or 9. I positioned the wyze cam over the food bowl, hopi...

Crushing shells
Quick question - I have a lot of natural shells that the crabs don't like. A lot. If I crush them for calcium, is it okay? I have a feeling it is.. but just want to confirm, and I don't know if others have done this.

They're all purple pinchers! Or at least they should be. I haven't touched them since they were adopted. I'll take some up front photos when I move them over to the big tank. I was tempted to do the move... But opted to silicone down the handles to the proper place first. Sent from my Pixel 3a using...

My amanos, fostered at my fiancé's for the last 2 years, finally came back to me. Lily demanded to inspect them first. They went into the freshwater pool. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200127/274f091ed63b335f2c7e8b1d30faddcc.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200127/6f5e12c4bbb3454d7b2c8967...

Re: Building a multiple tank stand soon, but I have weight questions
There was another post about weight calculations before...a crabitat would have a similar weight to full an aquarium with sand and decor as well.

Anti stress is a stress coat which is the same thing as slime coat. It's safe to use.

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal
The fan, I ended up sandwiching between egg crate and craft mesh. I ran out of egg crate, so I put together what pieces I had left, with craft mesh filling the rest. I couldn't put it between the fresh and salt water as it blocks the ladder access. I decided to suspend it above the saltwater, held by...
