Re: Good News, Bad News, and a Question!

Thanks for all the replies, everyone! I appreciate it! I was thinking of getting between 1-3 more, depending on the size of the new ones. I know they'll grow, though, but I figure having more might be okay because I usually always have 1-2 buried at any given time. Also hiding spots, it's heavily "p...

Good News, Bad News, and a Question!

Hello all! Sorry it's been a hot minute since I've been on here, you know how life is. Part of what I've been busy with is upgrading my hermit crabs, which I will get to! First, the bad news though. Bad News: Back in September, I got three new PP hermit crabs to add to my 20gL that already had three...

Re: Aggression From New PP

Sorry, I missed your note about upgrading soon. Although a 46g bowfront is not as big as I would wish for 6 crabs that are all medium to large, I would definitely recommend you keep your two groups separate for now, and then put them all in the bowfront when it is ready; if it were me, that is what...

Aggression From New PP

Hello everyone! I know I haven't been active on here after joining, sorry about that! I do have a question that's concerning me though. So, a bit of backstory (skip to the next paragraph if you don't think the backstory will be useful), I have had three medium PP hermit crabs for about a year, and e...

Wowee. That setup looks amazing - even the 10g I feel gives half of us a run for our money! ;)

Welcome to the board.

Re: Saltwater smelling like eggs

Are you using Prime water conditioner? Prime tends to have a sulfuric smell which basically translates to it smelling like eggs, not pleasant. Check the back label of whatever you're using or even reviews of it on other sites to see if other people have complained of the same issue. The product/bran...

Re: New To The Forum!

There is nothing wrong with any of the shells pictured. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thank goodness! As for the number of shells, there's a lot more inside the rock cave, as that's their personal shell shop. I have about three shells that are outside of the rock cave and many more inside of t...

Re: New To The Forum!

Just use the dechlorinator in tap water. Spring water is garbage and a waste of money for them. I drink the gallon of spring water and use the jugs to mix my DC & SW in! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk Just curious, why is spring water garbage? I found on another thread here that it's great for...

Re: New To The Forum!

Hello and welcome! I have had my two crabs, Sonny and Cher, for 8 1/2 years now. I get all my info and advice from this site. My first tank (also a 10 gallon) was pretty bland and boring too, kinda similar to yours! Your three crabs are very cute! I want to ask what you are using for salt and fresh...

New To The Forum!

Hello everyone! My name is Rose, and I am new to the forum and fairly new to keeping crabs! I thought I'd introduce myself here and give a bit of backstory, as well as information on my setup! At the end of this post, I'll post pictures! So strap yourselves in, this is going to be a long introductio...
