HCA: Hermit Crab Association

They recently cut down a walnut tree in my yard, so I salvaged a large piece of bark and smoked it it a high temp to kill off any and all passengers.
Is this wood safe for my crabitat?

I seem to have gotten an infestation of flour beetles. And I really would like to know are they harmful? Will they hurt my crabbies?

I usually hide their food in the little scoop seashells that crabs can't use all over their tank. And when it comes to some thing they like more I hide it somewhere better than the more nutrious stuff they don't mind but have to have.
