Organic Worm Castings
Hello, I wasn’t sure what topic to place this under so I apologize if this isn’t the correct one. Are these worm castings okay for my hermit crabs? If not, can someone recommend a place where I can buy larger quantities than what I get on Etsy? Thank you. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210202/fb...

Re: Condensation
I’m having the same problem with condensation and keeping the humidity levels up right now. I have moss pits in both tanks and I’ve added an air pump to the pools in my 55 gal tank. it seems to keep the humidity around 80-82, same with the temperature but my crabs are used to having it closer to 90 ...

Re: new crab digging hole, but not buried
My crabs happen to be those who like to dig just for the sake of digging. Conditions are ideal, but they'll go down, tunnel around for a couple of hours, and then come right back up. In the process, of course, the displaced substrate ends up burying spare shells, food dishes, etc., and I end up wit...

Re: Empty shell laying on top of the substrate
Crabs do not just 'drop their shells' and leave them. However, they do move shells around a lot. So he could have moved the new shell before getting in it, then left his old one far from where the 'shell shop' is, and buried himself. That's one possibility, but unfortunately there are others too. I...

Empty shell laying on top of the substrate
Yesterday I noticed a little shell laying underneath the hamster wheel. Keep in mind that I have not seen this little fellow for several weeks. The open end was facing the substrate so I just assumed he was hiding. Later in the day the shell was in the exact same spot. Today when I got home from wor...

Re: Should I be worried?
If you've seen my one post, there was a weird darkish green line that turned out to be a bacterial bloom from me keeping the sub far too moist. I also had a ten gallon that was about the same (far too moist), but no visible signs of a bacterial bloom although there definitely was one. I would defin...

Re: Should I be worried?
If you can slip a knife down right up against the glass, and wiggle it a bit. Then take the knife out. If water pools in it you have a flood. If it holds its shape but no water you're fine. Thank you!!! I slipped the knife down the front and the side and no pool developed. The substrate held its sh...

Should I be worried?
Today I noticed that the right bottom corner of my 55 gallon looked really wet and goes around the corner to the side. Can anyone tell me if this is something I should be worried about? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191102/45fb148762425fd764d5454a4fd16d52.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20...
