Re: Where can I find plastic egg crate?
I am working on a new tank and was wondering about covering it with cocofiber or just leaving it? I have seen it both ways and wondering what the advantages/disadvantages are to each?

Re: Crabby Climber
Is there a way to keep the net from molding? Mine kept getting moldy and saltwater soaking did not help so I gave up on using it.

Re: Where can I find plastic egg crate?
How do you all use the egg crate in the tanks? I am upgrading soon and trying to get some ideas.

Re: Zilla mat safe?
I was just thinking about using it for a climbing wall. I found a brown version too. Not sure if that makes a difference? I found the below info on it. Maybe I just need to get a coconut fiber mat instead? Terrarium Liner • Absorbent, non-abrasive material will not irritate • Cannot be ingested • Ma...

Zilla mat safe?
Does anyone know if the Zilla Reptile Terrarium Bedding Substrate Liner - green version - just says made from recycled materials is safe to use for a climbing wall? It does say enzyme coating so that makes me weary...

Re: What's on today's menu & recipe sharing
On the approved foods list it says that chicken should be cooked, but I see many of you feed raw chicken, is that correct? Like I can toss a whole raw chicken wing in there or some raw chicken breast?

Re: Crabs not eating calcium
I have a cuttlebone and use calcium powder but my cuttlebone started turning black so I threw it out. I am not sure if the humidity did that or what could have caused it? Any ideas on preventing this from happening again?

Re: Substrate cleaning
Ok, that is what I was trying to figure out if that is actually something that would be needed. I was dreading trying to figure out how to do that, so I am glad to hear that it is not usually done!

Re: Substrate cleaning
So substrate changes are never needed unless an emergency? It seems like they would be next to impossible to do as wouldn't a crab almost always be molting if you have a few?

Re: Maybe a dumb question
The mold grosses me out. The issue is when they crawl on the net they refuse to get off and hold on for dear life. Otherwise I would probably just leave it in there and clean as needed, but it is a nightmare trying to get them off to clean it. I do have the sand/cocoa fiber mix, but I use a heat lam...

Re: Maybe a dumb question
Well, for my moss pits I just bought shower caddies on Amazon with suction cups and stuck them on the wall. I need to figure out a better way for them to get up to them though. I had a really nice reptile net that the crabs loved, always on it, but with the humidity it kept molding. So I got a hammo...

Re: Maybe a dumb question
So is that just craft mesh you get to put for them to climb in the water bowls? Where is the best place to get that and are all craft meshes the same? I have mine sunken now, but like the doubling up idea and keeping them above ground.
