Re: I need serious help with my crabs! Please help!
crabs aren't exactly trusting pets to handle and see all the time, theyre also nocturnal which means theyre only really active at night and any light in their habitat will stress them out, id say they need about 3 more inches of substrate as well. perhaps its too bright where youre keeping them? hop...

Re: New Crab Quarantine
A five gallon tank with freshwater, saltwater, and food along with hides. About 4 inches of sand and eco earth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk that should be ok for quarantine seeing as its just one and temporary, as long as you can keep temperature at a good spot and humidity. keep him in ther...

Re: new crab not moving, still alive
she fell out of her shell, i thought she was dead but she was moving very minimally, i reshelled her into a slightly larger shell and isolated her in a container with the a bit of clean and safe water on the bottom. there was a hole in her back making me think shes surface molting?

Re: new crab not moving, still alive
Do not dig up the crab who has dug under - he/she may be molting and you should not disturb them. hes been up and down and is pretty active, hasnt dug under for long periods of time and is very bright in color, i dont think hes due for a molt for a while. ill only take him out if hes already on the...

Re: new crab not moving, still alive
i have a bunch of smaller shells and i will try the peanutbutter, i realized shes missing the tip of one of her claws so she could be recovering from a bad molt, might take her tank mate who is doing well and put him in the big tank to give her room to recover. she poked out when i moved her to water
