Re: Weak crab
You also mentioned that he looked pale and weak, those are usually the signs of molting. But if he buried himself, he is molting. I do not know other reasons why they would bury themselves besides molting. He will definitely come up eventually, just watch him! Yea. I am just gonna let him be, until...

Re: Weak crab
Do not dig him up!! Those are signs of molting and it seems like he’s molting. If he is, you’ll stress him out by digging him up and he’ll die from that. I know. He seems to me like a crab that is in the process of molting. I think he came up too soon or maybe was disturbed, idk. He has no fat sack...

Re: Weak crab

I am almost positive he does jot have to molt and I am just scared he is going to just die underground. I really wish he would have at least eaton something before going underground...

Blue feelers/antenna
Superman my original crab that i have had for 4 years appears to have blue feelers. They are not real dark either they are a little lighter in color. They are actually quite pretty but none of my crabs have feelers like his. Is this normal? Is he being deprived of something?

Re: Blocking the food bowl?
Hello! I have 4 hermits crabs all with distinct personalities. We have one from a boardwalk shop and he is definitely the boss of the tank. I notice when I feed them, Sheldon (the boss) will come out of hiding, sit by the food and stare at the rest of them as if daring them to approach the food. He...

Re: Bad hermit crab info
Call something an adoption, and everyone thinks they're rescuing an animal. These are sellers. The crabs were collected from the wild and they bought them from wholesalers for $1 a piece. Do not let them fool you, many expo sellers are high volume animal brokers selling wild caught animals, but the...

Bad hermit crab info
There is a Pet Expo going on in my area. I personally was going anyway everyday as my dog is performing and promoting a rescue organization. They have a whole bunch of animals and I find that they have hermit crabs for adoption. They have this little hermit crab encounter area where you can touch an...
Re: Dog food
Back in 1999/2000 I had a chocolate lab with terrible food allergies. I remember trying a kangaroo based food back then, and remember how freaking expensive it was!! I can imagine! Just for 4oz ish of freeze-dried kangaroo is around 16.99! Which actually is cheap. The raw dog food I first mentioned...
Re: Dog food
Yeah! That sounds like it's crab safe. Lots of crabbers use the freeze dried treats, and the food sounds very similar. Thank you! I show my dogs and am constantly doing training therefore I am constantly getting treats, and I am always checking the ingredient panel as I am picky about what my dogs ...
Dog food
So I have 4 dogs and I feed raw frozen dog food. Their are little to no synthetic vitamins added and has a few protein sources. Is it safe for hermit crabs? I am constantly getting freeze-dried treats for my dog also like beef liver, beef heart, minnows, and salmon. Is it safe to be giving these thi...
