Re: The Shell Removal Experiment

Hi there! I'm new to crabbies but like the idea of this experiment. It's a new form of enrichment for the crabs as well as mimicking their natural environment. I'm waiting for new shells to arrive, and then I'll make an official start with it. My one concern, though, is our bebehs are still relative...

Re: Some kind of Aggression!? (pic)

Believe me, there are plenty of people at work who think I'm half crazy when I'm watching them on camera lol. Let alone my partner and family 😂. Definitely an impulse buy on vacation that turned into something that I had no idea I'd be getting into! ... i just looked up cameras so i can keep an eye...

UTH placement

Hey everyone! We're using UTH for heat and I was wondering if we should keep them on the bottom of the tank or put them on the side?
Any insight and feedback is appreciated! :D

Re: Serial swapper?

Thank you! I did some research on shells today and it looks like we have to get more, larger shells. For now Pinchetta and Clamp are ok, but Clawington definitely needs an upgrade. I'll be keeping a close eye on them until the new shells arrive

Re: New hermit crab owner

New to crabbies myself so i don't have much insight to offer, but i love that mesh you have to let them navigate and climb out of your pools. Where'd you find it?

Re: Some kind of Aggression!? (pic)

New to crabbies also, and grateful for your post as it helps me know what to look for when determining aggression. I had a similar concern as my littlest crab chirped the other night and I had a concern she may be threatened by a jacking. You're totally not alone in the excitement, either! My husban...

Serial swapper?

Hey all! New crab momma here :D we brought our crabbies home on Sunday. They're still pretty shy, which is expected, but I noticed the smallest one, Pinchetta, seems to have swapped shells twice. It went from a shell that seemed too large (they head to retreat very deep into the shell to fully close...
