Re: Questionable Mouth Part
It doesn't seem to be an injury, or atleast from what I can tell. It's not a parasite either since it doesn't actively move/ and is not ontop of the gills.

Questionable Mouth Part
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/627235403480694784/711136518231556106/mouth.PNG I circled the area in question in red, but I've noticed Tukiyo has been having this very pale part of her head? It's close to the mouth parts, and it looks slightly bloated in a sense it puffs up though- I don't ...

Oak bark benefits
What are the exact benefits of Oak Bark for crabs? It's always been something likeable for my crabs as I have plenty of oak trees right outside my door, but what's the benefits or nutritional facts for bark? I know it contains pigments which tend to help darker crab colors.

Is he a large or XL?
So I've been having my largest crab, Odin, (who just came up from a molt!) since August 2018 and I've always had trouble determining the accurate size of my crabs. When I bought him he was labeled as a ''large'' but I can't be exactly sure- I believe he's molted twice with me this entire time but I'...

Re: Where to find 29/30 Gal tanks for reasonable prices?
Mainly what I just need is just a few more extra inches of floor space, on the shelf my tank is on I have roughly a foot or so of space I can use

Where to find 29/30 Gal tanks for reasonable prices?
I've been trying to find sources to find tanks of said size in the title as I'm looking to upgrade from my 20 gallon- especially as I look into getting another crab at somepoint in the future, but my 20 gal is more on the cramped side so I would appreciate the extra space- primarily for large shells...

Re: What are your crabs up to?
Kinda old, but in response to @CrabbyChelle628 and @Elli Krabooz is an Australian company so those crabs shown are more then likely aussies, I don't think they're E's. they're virtually only exclusive to Australia.
Of course I can be fact checked by aussieJJDude who is from australia!

Crab Hierarchy
I'm curious about something, but how does the Hiearchy among crabs work? From what I've read it's really weird, but what is the general relationship between crabs of two different sizes? ( such as a medium and a jumbo ) and would the jumbo automatically be the most dominant one and run things? Such ...

Indonesian Crab Care
title says it all, but i guess it's a multi-typed question, i was curious if anyone who's around here at the moment know more about in-depth indo care? like humidity, temps, that dealio- I know there's the care sheets, but those stay pretty basic and are older. Also, how much bigger do Indos get the...

Re: Can coconut considerably contribute to growth?
I think that might be it, I'd like to believe the high amount of calories and energy they provide helps with having a smoother molting process, and other resources like protein can be dedicated to actual crab growth.

Re: Crabs under for almost 2 years
Basically with what motorcrab said ^^ but with a posts of evidence there's only so much time a crab can spend underground before they're forced to come up to the surface and replenish on food and water. The longest wait time is usually roughly 4 months.

Can coconut considerably contribute to growth?
I've just tried offering coconut meat to my crabs and while the title says it, I'm really interested if it can be the case. There's studys that suggest coconut crabs only grow to half the size if they're on islands without coconuts, and I'm wondering if Hermit Crabs can be a similar case.

Re: Moving a possibly molting crab
Keep them where they're at. Sometimes crabs will hide under bowls and various decorations and that'll be enough to satisfy them. I have this big budda decoration in my tank, and my tiny when I got them went directly under it ( still on the surface ) but in complete darkness and molted. You can never...
