Re: What are Your Crabs’ Favorite Foods?
Ok How do you know what they like to eat?? I know that sounds crazy because it should be obvious... I NEVER see ours eat. We have two large to extra large crabs that we got for the kids years ago and I have been the only one to ever take care of them. Their food stays in for a two or three days and ...

Don't stress yourself out any more! There is not one person in this group that hasn't done something that they regret! No one is perfect! Use it as a learning experience and know that everything happens for a reason! Take care of yourself!

Fungus??
So I have noticed that I get a white fluffy "mold" on food after if has been in the crabitat for two days, I usually feed fresh every other day. This "mold" is like spider silk moving out in one direction for about an inch... it is the weirdest thing I have ever seen, but I just chalked it up to the...

Thanks! Any suggestions on dried foods? I have seen someone recently suggested dry cat food? I have some of the freeze dried crickets but they never seem to be interested in them...

Re: bully crab...
yeah its all possible - I'm certainly no expert. I ended up pulling all the crabs out and redoing all the structures and different levels I had built up (needed doing anyway). Last night they were all out exploring and running all over everything and climbing. Only one time did Carl jump on Mufasa.....

Re: bully crab...
So after breaking them up several time last night... at 6:30 this morning I went to get coffee and the kids breakfast going and I decided to check them again... I found Carl on top of Mufasa holding him under water in the salt water pool. like he was trying to drown him or something. You cannot make...

Re: Another Recipie Highwires Seafood Buffet
am I doing something wrong here...?? Are you feeding your crabs just a powder? I feed them whole freeze dried crickets and small pieces of fruits and veggies. I figured they would be used to eating crickets (dead) in the wild??

My Crabs NEVER get in the water - fresh or salt water! I barely ever even catch them sticking a toe in test... They literally just go around the edge and never in..

Re: Not eating :(
Thank you! I’ll check these out, so would you say they’re tired of the fresh variety that I give them and they might like some dry mixes instead? I do have a moss pit in there and I provide egg shells for calcium as well, so I think I’ll try going a different path. Definitely looking forward to see...

Re: Review My Crabitat (Updated)
I used the "egg crate" stuff from Amazon and then zip tied sheets of Coconut Fiber matting to it for a "back wall" and to support second level. that has turned out to be one of their favorite's for climbing! it's pretty cheap to use. As far as feeding - the crabs will be fine with strawberries that ...

Re: What's on today's menu & recipe sharing
darn, some of y'all going all out for the crabs! Mine seem to be very picky, and they really don't eat much... However, they always chow down on riced cauliflower and also on popcorn. They never touch the blueberries, apples, watermelon, chicken, etc... I Evan read somewhere that they like cat food ...

Re: Fighting? Chirping crab?
I added egg shells about three weeks ago and I see them on or in the egg shells pretty regularly. The biggest crab and shell are about the size of a golf ball. They used to dig and bury every night when in a ten gallon tank but once I have moved them to the 30 gal. they don't seem to dig as much. I ...
