What species is this?

I was thinking about about adding this aloe plant, but I am unsure of the species name and whether it is crab safe or not. Could someone help with the identification?Image

Re: Pineapple plant

When I put it in the crabitat, would it be better to plant it directly in the substrate or in a pot?

Re: Pineapple plant

Okay, should I quarantine it or could I add it after I rinse it?

Pineapple plant

Hello, I want to plant the top of a pineapple in my crabitat. Since bromeliads are safe, I think a pineapple would be safe. I have an organic pineapple that I want to use. Would it still need to be quarantined before I add it, or could I add it right away? Here is a picture of the pineapple. https:/...

Re: Adding Prickly Pear Cactus

I know they are a desert species, but I did see that other members on this forum added it. Even if it doesn’t do well, I think the crabs will probably have fun climbing on it and eating it.

Re: Shells from the beach

Thank you, I will definitely boil the shells before adding them. I was more concerned about the possible pollutants from the ocean. Could there be enough pollutants like micro plastics to harm the crabs?

Shells from the beach

Hello, I collected shells from the beach in Maryland and want to put them in the crabs’ tank to be used as food bowls or grind them up to use in a calcium pit. Would this be safe for the crabs?

Prickly Pear Cactus

Hello, I have some prickly pear cactus that I would like to put in the crabitat as a live plant. I was looking at the safe plant lists and I saw that prickly pear cactus is safe. I know that there are spineless varieties of prickly pear but they all still have glochids. Do the glochids not affect he...
