Hello. I was wondering if the calcium carbonate and calcium gluconate are safe for crabs? I have some 'reptile munchies omnivore mix' and all the food ingredients are safe but IDK about the calcium...

Snake shed
Hello!
I have seen trends where people feed their crab's snake shed.
I have a snake that recently shed. Can I just feed the crabs that, or do I need to disinfect it or what??

Re: What's on today's menu & recipe sharing
Today(Monday) I made an omelet. Rating: 7/10. Great fresh protein-rich food. I normally give this to crabs right after or before a molt. Recipe: 1 egg. (including eggshell) a small handful of blueberries. 3 Apple slices 3 strawberries Cook on a pan with coconut oil on medium heat. Gently FOLD in unt...

Re: Teeny shells
Hello!
You might find them at your local craft store.
Also, these might be small enough? https://www.amazon.com/Weoxpr-Shells-Se ... B07SQZ49M2
I hope that helps!

Re: Mites
Okay, so after awhile of using the mite spray, they returned, and brought friends! Arrgh. There is now grain mites, something that looks like an earwig, something that looks like springtails but dose not jump, and the slug-thingy. I am REALLY worried and the bugs are SO annoying because they wont le...

Re: Breeding attemt
Good luck!! I'm so glad that you are inspired by my efforts. Really, that's one of my biggest goals: to get others doing this so we can make a big (hopefully permanent) dent in the capture of wild crabs. Depending on where you are physically located, if you have PPs, you probably won't see mating u...
Re: Wood mold
Update: I scrubbed all the wood in a very strong saltwater mix. It has been a few days and there is absolutely no signs of mold! my crabs look a lot happier and healthy now. I think it's gone for good. Thanks to everybody who replied. Your comments and tips have been a great help. Thanks =)

Re: Breeding attemt
I personally wouldn’t go through the trouble of hatching unless you’re confidant you can do so, since the shrimp must be eaten within hours of hatching to maintain their nutrition. I much prefer instant: https://www.amazon.com/Ocean-Nutrition-Food-Instant-Brine/dp/B00176GU32 If you can find it in p...

Breeding attemt
Hello! I have a 45 gal bioactive aquarium, and 5 pp's. My ultimate goal is to breed them. (I have already started to see 'guarding' behaviors between my two largest, but it could easily be something else.) Yes, I have fully read Mary Akers's blog and such. She is the one who is inspiring this goal. ...
Re: Mites
Hello again!
I had an idea of using salt water to mist the cage, to wet the soil because then it would potentially kill the mites...? But then I saw a site that said 'DO NOT use saltwater to mist!' and I got anxious. Any tips?
Thanks

I HAVE looked at the safe plant list, even googled it for other people's opinions, and can't find anything. Any help? Also if anybody knows of some other safe plants? so far I've g...
