Ah okay, thank you!JoeHermits wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2020 8:12 amGenerally it’s about a bag and a brick per ten gallons, so two of each should be plenty.
And yes, you can reuse substrate.

How much substrate to purchase for 20 gallon long tank?
I’ve been considering upgrading my 10 gallon to a 20 gallon long, and was wondering how much substrate I needed. I’m planning on having about 6 inches of substrate.(higher/lower in places for variety) I was thinking of purchasing a bag of 20 kg play sand (about 44 pounds) and a brick of eco earth. I...

Re: Regarding dechlorinators
You’re working with 1 mL of dechlorinator to 1 gallon of water. The average plastic water bottle holds about 16.9 fl oz. Eight bottles equals one gallon. There are 20 drops in 1 mL of dechlorinator. Be sure to check out the 'food' and the 'water' care sheets. Crabs need a varied diet, which includes sources of protein and calcium daily....

Re: Injured Leg from Fall
I'm not sure how/if hermit crabs feel pain compared to us. Your crab could have been stunned like like if we bump, twist, or over extend a body part. If the leg didn't break off your crab should be ok. If the leg gives any problems the crab will drop the limb and regrow a new one. That makes me fee...

Rice Preparing?
I want to feed my crabs rice and potentially other grains. Should I prepare it with a rice cooker, or is there a different way to do so?
