I finally found some turbos from Naples Shell Company that work for him . 55 dollars later. lol
Now I need to find a way to convince the other to upgrade. He hasn't left his second shell.

Re: Weird Aggressive Behavior
Sorry, missed the fact is an E. Those twisty/thin spiral shells seem to be most common for them. Maybe try all kinds. I have one PP that is super picky, he tries on every single kind of shell. I could put a pepto-lid in there and he'd probably at least test it before ditching it. lol

Re: Weird Aggressive Behavior
does he have a preference for turbo shells (round opening) or snail type/conche (one flattishside rest round)? PP usually like turbos. I'm having a difficult time finding 7/8-1 inch opening turbos that are not too big/heavy.

He Has come back up, finally! A beautiful dark red/purple, but still in old shell. Hoping he will upgrade like his brother to a larger since I'm sure he's likely grown. He's hiding so haven't had a good look at him yet.

Re: HELP - Crab is MISSING - 3 weeks late coming up from a molt- had 8 years very unusual
How long can they be without a buddy around before it affects them? I know they like to have at least one other crab around. It's been 45 days I'm worried hes going to get lonely. I just got him some new shells so hopefully that will help to keep him occupied, hes been shell hopping often.

Re: HELP - Crab is MISSING - 3 weeks late coming up from a molt- had 8 years very unusual
Thank you for the advice! I have not gone digging. Though I am concerned since wondering if there was a big fight about shells or Something else in the days before his disappearance. Looking back through pictures I took, it did seem like the one who got bigger was being a little aggressive with him ...

That the crab was eating pieces of. Wondering now if that has poisoned him and just didn't take effect until this past m...

Re: HELP - Crab is MISSING - 3 weeks late coming up from a molt- had 8 years very unusual
Anyone have any suggestions if I should look for this crab to check on him or not? Of course I am tempted because this is not like his normal behavior. My mom got is telling me something is wrong. But I am always worried about them. Thank you in advance

Re: HELP - Crab is MISSING - 3 weeks late coming up from a molt- had 8 years very unusual
They grew but they never got as big as some of the big ones I see online. They moved up from small nickel size shells to I shells to shells shows that are about the 2.5-3 inches and 1 inch openings if that makes sense. They seem pretty happy, always hanging out in out in running around the tank, The...

Re: Crabs trash their tank - is that normal?
A while back I switched from a small "crab" style water dish to a "massive lizard style" dish that's maybe 10 inches across. The other thing I did along with this was add a flat rock under the dish so it is well supported above the surrounding substrate. This totally eliminated any issues with eith...
