Mites in new crabs
I recently adopted two new crabs, and at the door the lady told me to not use the sand in container because she had mites. I did not know what to do so they have been sitting in their container for a couple of hours. If I had known this I probably would not have taken them in since I no nothing abou...

Duckweed in pools
I was wondering if it would be beneficial to have duckweed in the crabs salt and fresh water pools since I would have some extra. I am ordering some for my other aquariums and thought about putting in in with the crabs too! Would they eat it, would it give them extra nutrients like it does for fish?...

Re: Moving help
I just opened the lid of the Tupperware while the crab was crawling around. It is definitely my crab rose which I have had for the longest. She is acting perfectly fine and looks fine. I think tomorrow morning I will add her to the other tank. Right now he has an egg shell with raw egg inside with h...

Re: Moving help
After digging up the crabs and taking out the substrate all I found was one crab in its shell and a couple large legs and a claw. I know exoskeleton can look very real but this looks exactly like it does while it’s attached to the crab. It also looks too big to be from (especially the large pincher)...

Moving help
I am moving this Tuesday and am a bit worried about some things. I have my crabs in a custom 72 gallon with 10 inches of substrate, which is extremely heavy. The tank has to go down one flight of stairs to get out the door then up another flight of stairs at the new house. We have movers, that will ...

Re: Crab chirping
There are quite a few similar to that one, I see the new crab and my other crab checking out this other shell so hopefully one of them will switch. At the moment they seem to be keeping there distance I will see what happens tonight.

Re: Crab chirping
I make sure I always dip new crabs so I’m not sure if that’s the reason. Last night things where getting a little more aggressive the crab that can be a bully was pushing my newest crab onto its back in the corner and then basically sitting on him. To me it looks like he is trying to say that he is ...

Crab chirping
I was very surprised when I heard loud chirping coming from my tank. I just added my last new crab ( I have adopted 3 in the last couple of months from the same person because they where molting at different times). The “fight” was between the newest crab and one of my crabs I got around 2 years ago...

Re: Oyster Shells and Food Dishes
I honestly just use whatever is around but my favourite dish to use is this really nice shell except it gets stained[emoji51]![Image](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211130/d4ecb439be839152de61000a04fa156b.jpg)

Re: Most disgusting thing you've ever fed your crabs?
Frozen bloodworms, feed them to my fish and frogs and aren’t very gross but once they sit for a little the whole tank smells awful and they are dragged around the tank[emoji1785]
