Re: Expanding my 40B tank vertically
Ok I just finished the tank extension today!! I still am going to buy/make a few decor items and need to get some more sand but so far happy with how it turned out. Working on getting humidity and temp back up in the tank. Going to upsize my pools to hopefully help with this. Pics coming once I figu...

Re: Expanding my 40B tank vertically
Yeah I have a repti zoo tank that size in my amazon cart. I figure it'll be easier to just forgo the cutting glass and just access the entire tank through the double doors. I think I'll just need to position my pools up front for easier access.

Re: Expanding my 40B tank vertically
This is awesome thank you for sharing. It looks verry nice and your tape job is very precise. 😁 I am waiting until Christmas so my hubby doesn't notice too many crab supplies coming in at once. 😬 He's gracious with my obsession but I see the eye rolls. I can't wait to add the climbing room for my li...

Re: Expanding my 40B tank vertically
Thank you!! The plexiglass idea helps, simple fix! I have bubbler pools in my tank so that helps..I wonder if it'll just take a couple days for humidity build up in the air. I currently have 4 PPs so not too many since I don't want to overcrowd. All great diggers and have had great and multiple molt...

Expanding my 40B tank vertically
I'm so excited to finally do a tank extension! :cheer: Couple of questions though. Currently have 40B tank and am going to put an exo terra 30ish gallon terrarium on top. It has the double open doors. Planning on sealing it up where tanks connect to help with humidity. However, I prefer to keep the ...

Re: Hide ideas for a jumbo?
Amazon has acrylic displays that I cut up some coconut mat fiber and siliconed it on. They look like 3 sided shelves but more boxy than rectangular. By attaching the fiber they can climb on the outside and get comfy on the inside.

Re: Are Southern Grove Mixed Nuts with Sea Salt ok to give them to eat?
Sorry, I know this is an old post, but organic seaweed with sea salt is ok to crush up and give to the hermies? Sea salt on some food is ok? Like organic tuna with sea salt and water? That is not harmful like normal table salt?

Re: Full shell evacuation while molting
Ok thank you so much for your help. I'll put bottle caps in there and more food. Just out of curiosity, since the majority of my sub mix is eco earth..how do I get rid of the poo? It's hard to see so I mix it into the top layer of earth to degrade. Is there something else I can do that's safer? That...

Re: Full shell evacuation while molting
I just checked on him..he did go back in..thank God..I seriously prayed for him. He buried himself a little further down. I added a little bit of sub on top of him through the top bottle part. Like a tablespoon full. Just enough to cover him all the way. I didnt pack it down. I am going to keep the ...
