Re: new crab owner!!
When I first got my crabs, I was panicking thinking that they were going to die because they weren't eating or drinking! But, we as humans have to remember that these animals know how to survive without us lol. So they definitely are eating. :) Also, if you haven't already, I would check out the car...

Re: Missing limbs- possibly a surface molt! :(
So You think I should isolate her even though she is done molting? Or should I just keep a close eye on her and wait until I see any aggression or anything- then isolate her?

Re: Missing limbs- possibly a surface molt! :(
Update: So I actually didn't isolate her in a container because I was worried that I would stress her out way too much, so I put up barriers on either side of the Tupperware she was behind. It seems to have worked very well, other than she escaped! Yeah, now I'm confused- I thought this girly was ha...

Re: Missing limbs- possibly a surface molt! :(
Update: I think the reason she chose to do a surface molt is because the lid I had underneath the Tupperware water bowl was making it so she could not dig down. So I moved that out of the way and I hope she will start to dig now! She has actually molted really fast and now it looks like everything i...

Re: Missing limbs- possibly a surface molt! :(
I'm have containers from the pet store that already have holes in the lid so I can put her in that, though should I just put it on top of her with it upside down or scoop her into it right side up? I can try to post a photo, though it's a little confusing but I will figure it out. It is the next day...

Re: Carolina Reaper
I would not feed them that personally because it is one of the spiciest peppers and I don’t think a hermit crab would like the spiciness if even most humans don’t like it. I would be worried about the hermit crabs hurting themselves from eating it.

Sure thing! https://www.amazon.com/hygger-Submersible-Sunrise-Daylight-Moonlight-Adjustable-Brightness/dp/B09CL8GY8K?th=1 The only thing I don't like about it is that when it gets into it's sunset feature it starts to turn blue for moonlight. I did my research and I think it's fine for the crabs bu...

Re: will it work??
Fr! I just let my big guy out for a little playtime, he wanted me so I put my hand in and he came over to play! I then fed him a little bit of honey off of a mini spoon and almost died inside when he actually ate some! Then I got towel and dipped the end of it in some decorated water and used that ...

Re: will it work??
I feel this! I've had 2/3 of my crabs for almost two months now! They started in a little wire cage with blue gravel, a wet sponge, pellet foods, and two extra painted shells. Then, about two weeks after that they went into a 10 gallon tank with fresh food, salt and fresh water dishes, and a brand ...
