Re: In need of expert advice on Humidity in the tank
My sub is about 8 inches, if I go deeper the sub will go above the UTH that I have on the back of my tank. I've read it isnt good to do that because it dries out the sub and can make it too warm and cause bacteria blooms. I have been spraying the top with declor water when I do my weekly cleaning an...

Re: Hermits from chain pet stores
Thank you for the feedback. One is down, the other 5 are still on the surface. One of those is staying inside the hut most of the time. The other four hang by the bridge more and they dig little holes and sleep there then come out and are pretty active in the tank all night. One, my largest survivor...

Re: Hermits from chain pet stores
Only thing with the oet store is I feel like if I buy some there I'm giving them a better chance of survival than if somebody gets one for their kids and sticks it in a plastic habitat without having a proper set up for survival....yet I have two that died in a good set up, so not sure what's best t...

Hermits from chain pet stores
Question, all of our crabs came from a small chain pet store. We bought 3 to start , then 5 more. 2 died so far. Out of the first three 2 of those died so far. The lively one of the group is doing well . The other 5 newer ones are too so far. Question is, I know they say chances are greater until th...

In need of expert advice on Humidity in the tank
I have a 55 gallon tank, temp is perfect at 80. Humidity is difficult to maintain it seems to drop easily. I will be getting some miss to add to the tank, but what are your thoughts on a bubbler? Do they also help bring the humidity up? Just looking for some tips. Ty!!

UTH set up question
I purchased an Ultratherm UTH for my 55 gallon tank. It runs 48inches and will perfectly cover the back of the tank above the substrate. What is the best way to secure it to the back of the tank since it does not have adhesive on it. I was thinking foil tape would be ok. Any suggestions? This is an ...

I have them in a 35 gallon tank. Humidity and temp are perfect. I was just given a nice 55 gal tank and thinking of transferrin...
