sorry im just getting back to reply but i took them out of the tank and still made my boyfriend carry the tank to our destination lol. I of course took everything with me of theirs and we are all doing perfectly fine. Thank you for the information and replying back to me.

My new hermit crab finally changed his shell out of that old painted one from the pet store. Once he changed i haven't seen him its been 2 days. We are having our house tented tomorrow so i have to move them tonight to a new place for a couple of days. I plan on moving the whole tank since i dont ha...

So them crawling under their food or water bowls isn't bad? That's what scares me is that they will crawl under a water or food bowl and it will make it collapse. Maybe this is me being to scared

oh so 3/4 of the 29 gallon tank is 6+ inches of substrate the other is where i keep food and water so its lower. Is that okay?

I have over 6 inches of substrate easy, coconut fiber with a little play sand (not much sand im just starting to slowly add it) i have 2 crabs now. I didnt know about the tunneling and moving so thank you for the information. I also feed them alot of fruits and vegetables but have been adding trying...

I have a log, small cholla wood, and 2 small coconut shells with their water and food dishes in a 29 gallon long tank. They are each strategically placed so they have plenty of room

It definitely is 3x the size as the crab so i guess we go with the flow. This eases my mind a little thank you both for replying
