Re: Help! Crab hanging out of shell
I'm back with sad news :-( He ended up passing away. We got the isolation tank all set up and we went to pick him up to move him and he fell completely out of his shell and smelled terrible. I couldn't help myself but I started sobbing. I didn't realize I had gotten so attached to these little guys....

Re: Help! Crab hanging out of shell
Your tank conditions sound good. It may be a case of PPS. Hope this helps! Sent from my Moto G (5)...

Re: Upgraded to 29g Crabitat - Feedback please!
It's looking good! I'm sure they will love to climb everywhere. I'm not sure about the stump hide you have in your crabitat. If it is for hamsters and labeled as edible it probably isn't safe for your hermits. They are generally highly processed and glued together and contain preservatives. I would...

Upgraded to 29g Crabitat - Feedback please!
Hi everyone! I've had my 4 hermies for about a month now. After thinking a 10g tank was fine (per the guy at the pet store  ) I quickly realized I needed to upgrade. I opted for the 29g and have spent the last few weeks getting it ready. I swear I felt like an architect/engineer trying to meas...

I bought a digital temperature and humidity sensor by Acu-Rite. I followed the instructions on here about calibrating (teaspoon of damp table salt...

Re: New to crabbing and have some Q's
Glad we like hairly legs here lol. Mold I soak my jute twine. It should be fairly quick absorbing into twine and quick dry. May soak a few minutes. I haven't noticed a recommended amount of salt to water ratio or time to soak. I grind up in the like 8 inch tall grinder pure sea salt. I do about 60 ...
