Needing Small Shells
Contrary to most other posts in this section, I actually need small shells. I just recently got these guys and they are just barely smaller than a quarter, and finding any shells for them is a pain. One of them in particular is wearing one of those really long and pointy shells, which seems to imped...

Re: Screaming Molter!
Yeah. I recognize the noise. The two up top are doing nothing. It's coming from the bottom. It's similar to the, "I'm being picked on!" noise. That's what makes me nervous. I have two molters right now. I heard this noise a few hours ago (they can be pretty vocal), but the one who is making the nois...

Top of the Pecking Order
Hello all :) Just out of curiosity, how does your "top crab" act? You know, the one at the top of the pecking order. The top of my main tank's order is Settra. He's the smallest crab by a bit, but that doesn't seem to make much a difference. Other crabs follow him around when exploring a recently re...

Suction Cups
Alright, to start things off I'm going to mention that I've doubled the cast from 2 to 4 crabs (all PPs). One of them is in the old tank molting, and the other three are in a newer, much nicer tank. Anyways, the three that are currently in the new tank seemed ecstatic about a climbing wall, and they...

Re: New Tank Mates
Thanks for information! I have a 30 gallon tank with plenty of hiding places, more than enough substrate (play sand and coconut fiber mix), plenty of shells, both fresh and salt water, a wide variety of fresh produce (can't bring myself to give them that commercial stuff), and it's kept at 80 degree...

New Tank Mates
Hello all: I have recently decided to increase the size of my cast of crabs, and I'm trying to determine what would make a good fit. I have two Purple Pinchers at the moment, and I'm not sure what other subspecies (i.e. Strawberries) to add in. Have any of you noticed a particularly good combo? Are ...
