Re: All of them?!
Your crab is so cute! Just wanted to let you know that sponges aren't the best for your crabs, I as they can grow bacteria and mold and are very hard to keep clean :) Thanks! They're actually dry sponges, they're like little kick balls! My guys love pulling and kicking them alllll ov...

Re: All of them?!
I wanted to post an update, they have all come up! We have successfully made it through everyone molting! I'm beyond excited, I can finally clean their tank and redo and clean up the substrate, but most of all, I can stop worrying! David, was the last to come up, he was the one I was most worried ab...

First successful molt!
Every morning before I turn on the lights, I take a peek into our crabitat to see if anyone has come up. Frank has been in and out of his little hole, but I had to double take, either Hank or Eugene was awake and came up from his first molt! I was so excited but I didnt want to scare him so I didn't...

Re: Crabs not fully in substrate?
I have 7 pps, all of them are currently underground to some extent. One just digs down but comes back out at night cuz the food will be moved and eaten, another used to dig down during the day and come out early evening before he finally went down all the way. The ones that seemed to only go down fa...

I just wanted to add that your crabby looks good to me, my two larger crabs are kinda similar in color to yours.
Good luck with the tank move!

Re: Baby Hermit Crabs
They're too cute! This is the size of our newest replacement of Eugene 2.0 (The ones that didn't make it we went and got new within the 30 days of purchasing them. We added the 2.0 to their names as a tribute to them.)
I just love how the smaller ones look, so so adorable!

Re: All of them?!
So looking down into half of the tank this is where all my guys are hiding, pretty sure larry and bob are under the sticks, David went down in to the right of the upturned white and black shell and I think the rest of my crew, Eugene, Paul, and Hank are along the back wall somewhere and Frank is hid...

Re: All of them?!
So a little update, Eugene 2.0 has come back up overnight but went right back under. Sad because where he was with his tunnel right up against the glass, you could see him moving and I knew he was just fine. Bright side, at least he was fine, but now I dont know where he moved to, all I know is he w...

Re: Leave food out for molter??
Currently all 7 of my hermies are underground, but one or two seem to be only hiding or destressing because I fed them fresh food the other night and it was definitely gone through and someone chowed down. So I would still keep feeding your crabby! Never know if they come back out they could be hung...

Re: Pre-Mixed Saltwater Solution?
Thank you both, it seems like a better solution to where we can keep it as well. I'll just make sure to dump out the old every few days and keep it clean.

Re: Pre-Mixed Saltwater Solution?
Out of curiosity, I saw this the last time I was at petco. And I've been curious ever since. It seems like it could be a decent option since its actually sea water? Sorry didn't mean to jump in here, but it's kinda about the same thing. Can it be used for saltwater since it's what you use to fill a ...
