Lid suggestions for keeping in moisture
I am setting up my new tank currently… i now have hood lights over it which i didn’t have before so this is new to me. My lights seem to be putting off heat so i dont think plastic wrap would be the best idea anymore (what i am currently using on the new tank, the old one which is still in use have ...

Re: Questions about toppers/lids for a 40g long tank.
I don't think that will work. The dimensions of my tank are 48x12. I think I might have to DIY a center brace and then I should be able to use 2 of the 24x12 hoods. Thank you though!!

Questions about toppers/lids for a 40g long tank.
What kind of topper/lid would work the best for my 40-gallon long tank? It does not have a center brace (it never did but also wasn't broken off before I got it) I'm open to all ideas, but I would prefer something that I can use a light with. My make-shift DIY lid is not working as well as I had hop...

Re: Spooning Crabs lol
They are adorable. I just looked at my tank and saw that my smallest crab has climbed all the way to the top of the tank. Which means he had to climb up the fake plant, somehow got over to the digital humidity gauge up on to the old dial one.

Hi. So i've had my largest hermit since last summer, when i got him he was eating soley pellet food. Now that i know more i started giving him fresh foods about two or three months after i got him. I've noticed a theme though, he only really seems to enjoy apple even though i offer a variety. And it...

it won't get warm enough to actually heat it in 15-20 mins. you could just tape it to the side. facebook marketplace generally has good tanks for cheap.

Re: Please help!!
I think it would be okay to add the UTH. They are designed to slowly heat up the glass and then heat the air inside. It can take 6-12 hours
Make sure you mount the UTH at the back or side of the tank above the substrate. Never mount on the bottom because it can potentially set fire in your tank.

It sounds to me like Post Purchase Syndrome. Unfortunately crabs go through a lot during shipping and living at the pet store. Some just don't survive due to stress.

Another thing, at night is it dark in the room they are in or is there a light on?
