Re: Molting crab’s shell stolen, body on top of sand
I know some people will like, use two liter bottles to protect their crab if it’s surface molting. I’m not sure what the HCA recommends for stuff like this. I get all of my information from here and crab central station on YouTube. They have a video about what to do when this happens. I’m just not s...

Re: HELP! Mold problem
I have heard about using springtails! Do you have any advice on How to add them to an already existing tank, and where do I get them? [emoji3064]

HELP! Mold problem
Hi! I’m newer to this but I have never had this problem before. Everything in my tank is growing this white fuzzy mold. Not the decor, because I soaked all of it in salt water and baked it.. but any food and even the foraging mix is molding and it’s only been a week. I havnt ever heard of foraging m...

Re: New Crab Mom humidity issue
Hi! If you have lots of moss and the lid covered 50 is still very low for it to drop. Maybe the gage is broken? I’d check and maybe get a new one and see if they both read the same. You could also try larger water bowls and put them by the heating pad. The heat will evaporate water more and you’ll h...

Re: Huge Crabitat Upgrade! [emoji3]
I was wondering the best way to get them through the move. Didn’t know if I should just transport the tank I have with them in it or if I should move them to a carrier

I would just wait to get a 40 if you already have a 20 already. If you don’t already have a set up, anything 20 and above is enough!
and you’re welcome! If you have anymore questions let me know!

Huge Crabitat Upgrade! :)
So I’ve been saving up to upgrade my Crabbies tank since I got them early July. I’m so excited. We are moving the 31st and I just finished setting up the new 40 gallon breeder I got for them. So they will be transitioning out of the 20 gallon they are in for the PPS Method and into their new Tank. I...

Re: New owner (sort of, not yet) with questions...
Okay I’m back! :) So. Back to the tank thing. 20 gallons is fine for two crabs that are smaller. From personal experience I recommend starting off bigger because I’ve done three tank upgrades in two months and it’s so exhausting and expensive lol. 5. Instant ocean is perfect. For the de chlorination...

New owner (sort of, not yet) with questions...
Hi! Okay so there are a few things on there I’m not sure of but I’ll answer what I can. 1. Ethically, try to adopt on Craigslist or Facebook or just look around and see if you can find some that need homes rather than buy them from pet shops. It helps not support the pet trade since they are all wil...

Re: new crab owner with questions
lol my mom is like that it’s 62 degrees in her house all the time I swear. [emoji23] I’d say LEDs are safe since a lot of people use them. If it bothers you maybe look for just a regular house lamp and try that out?
