Also she was VERY active when she came up and ate and drank a lot…… now she keeps half burying herself…. Like u can still see her shell but she’s dug down in substrate so you can only see the top. Is that ok or does it mean tank is too hot or too cold????

So my one crab died during first molt and I thought the other one died too, she was buried so long….. today my cat was sitting staring at the crabitat and I realized she molted and came up and changed shells and she seems great!!!! Well I’m pretty sure he’s dead and I’m heartbroken…. I got very attached to him and now my other crab is all alone.

I’m a new crab owner and I just don’t know if this is normal or not. I’m very worried about him but I don’t wanna disturb him if there is any chance he’s alive.

So he’s been buried over a month now but when I peek he looks exactly the same as 2 weeks ago. Up against the side of the tank you can see his shell and his old exoskeleton next to it but nothing has changed. How long would be out of his shell? I’m starting to think he may be dead but there’s no sme...

So he’s been buried about 3 weeks but he’s up against the side of the tank. He has seemed to be in his shell and has moved but now he seems to be far out of his shell and looks kinda grey? Could that be his old exoskeleton and maybe he’s just hardening up before going back in his shell?

How can you tell if he died? He was very social for the few days before he buried himself! I hate that I got them at a beach shop and they could have been half dead already!! I just hope he’s ok!! So I’m a new crab owner and my crab buried himself as sooon as I set up his crabitat. Do they take their old shell when they go molt? Will he need a new one that’s bigger once he comes back up? How do I know if he’s molting or dead?

Also I have a spring water bowl and a salt water bowl plus food bowl and treat bowl and also I gave them some lettuce and bananas
