Re: Is he dead? NO movement but no smell
This is the only picture i have. My husband took this at his "vigil". I know it's not a good one to see anything https://i.postimg.cc/7b4fW8Wm/20231116-184037.jpg Its kind of tricky to see him very well, is he still not moving? He could be de stressing, but then he would probably at least move a li...

hi, sorry allamericancrab is my alt account for my other device. so I’m responding on here! the temp is 70 flat, but It’s rising slowly do you have somewhere warm you can put the tank? depending on your hermit crab species, 70 is still going to be too low. also for the humidity, if its still not ke...

Re: New Owner, really really old Crab
I never thought I'd be a crab owner, but here we are. My story begins over the summer when my sweet daughter was playing in the swampy area back back in the place in my yard that is beyond our fence. She texted, "hey mum, there's a hermit crab in the swamp" to which I said - are you sure? She sent ...

Re: is this food safe for my crab?
so uh…the food ingredients lists corn and soybean.. is this safe? I’ve heard some people say it’s bad for my crab. 🥲 As far as I know, corn and soybeans are both fine for hermit crabs, I wouldn't feed them as a standard food though because they're not super nutricious (I probably spelled that wrong...

Re: Cohabitation? Hermit crabs + Taiwan Yellow Land crab
Ohh that’s true, I didn’t even consider molting. Hmm… Maybe you could make some sort of barrier in the tank, with the taiwan crab one side and the hermies on the other? it probably wouldnt be too hard to make a barrier out of mesh or smnthg if u wanted to, youd just have to make sure it went all th...

Re: After molting, how long does it take for the exoskeleton to solidify?
I think it mainly depends on the size, usually anywhere from a few days to a week I'd guess. You might be able to move him sooner if you were really gentle but I wouldn't rlly recommend it, it's up to you tho

Is this mineral sea salt jelly an adequate substitution for a salt water pool? https://prnt.sc/0hadOsVXcd_E The product description says it contains moisture, salt, calcium, and other ocean water minerals. Do you mean jelly like for hair? The picture you put in didn't come up for me :? If it's for ...

Sea monkeys are brine shrimp, they don't really look like monkeys but they do look pretty cool, almost like big plankton or something
