You're measuring the wrong direction, but a 7/8 inch opening should still be the correct sizing for him given how far he's hanging out. Okay so to cut to the chase
I recently ran out of salt water and I’m panicking about it cause I recently ordered some more and it won’t come until next week and I’m not sure how long purple pinchers can go without saltwater I has fresh water in the meantime but I’m not sure if that’ll do for now

I'm back and as a quick update my hermits had their first molt with me and it was a success!
anyways I noticed in my crab tank that they lacked much to do to keep themselves entertained
So do you have any ideas on what I could buy in order for them to have fun?

Just checked the tank and no fishy smell
So I'm guessing everything is fine

But I have a question how do you know if they did dig up the molter?
Do they go under ground and bring them back up to eat them or is it something else?
