How are you drying them? Mold sounds like there’s either too much moisture or not enough air flow. They'll corrode eventually. I used a little metal 4 inch desk fan for a while but anything metallic eventually rusts or corrodes, the cover rusted out in a couple of year. Computer fans don’t short out in the humidity? I was looking at aquarium fans but many of them seem designed for rimless tanks and look difficult to mount in my crabitat.
