If the water that I give to my purple pincers is cold is it detrimental to their health? Wondering for both saltwater and freshwater if that matters in any way, and my crabitat is usually around 82 degrees.

I just came home and went to feed my hermit crabs and noticed one of the water dishes in my crabitat has what I assume to be mold underneath it. Is this safe? If not how do I go about cleaning it? Can I just scoop the “infected” sand out?

If he is dead, there is nothing to be gained by digging him up - he will just compost into the substrate and not harm any other crabs in the tank.
