Sounds of shells tapping and chirping
I was woken by loud tapping and chirping. I assumed it was a fight bc one of the crabs was on top of each other. I separated them in case that was a big issue and ordered more shells. Was that the right decision. Barleycorn usually spends its time buried and it’s the bigger one. Could the smaller on...

Re: Pools 3D printing / Humidity / Substrate
Hi! My hydrometer is digital and pre calibrated I moved the pool closer to the heating pad to help with the humidity and that worked. Also thank you for the 3d printer answers! Also I’ll be sure to leave Barleycorn alone!

Pools 3D printing / Humidity / Substrate
Hi! My crabs are doing well. My friend is gonna 3d Print me some pools, what plastics AND sealants are safe for the crabbies. And what’s an ideal shape for the ramps and pool. Also now that I changed my pools from 1 cup things from Amazon to Tupperware with bubblers, the humidity crashed. I added mo...

Recommended hides
Is there any hides on amazon or Etsy or any store that’s affordable? I’m worried about quality. My crabs are shy :]
They love hiding under moss.
Also what 3d printer material do you recommend because my friend has one and offered use for me

Re: Hermie hanging halfway out of shell
It’s in a shallow hole but it’s accessible to the other crabs it’s by a corner so it’s hard for me to reach it . So it dug but it’s not completely underground.

Re: Hermie hanging halfway out of shell
It’s dug itself in the corner by the heating pads. And it is not responsive to noise like the other crabs. The substrate is 4 in rn and deeper in some pockets. I was going to add more, but then it started acting strange so I decided to wait. It would sit in the corner not moving, but when my friend ...

How would I introduce more sand substrate to a tank with crabs?
My tank needs more sand it’s approximately at 3-4 in right now. I recently got more playsand and coconut substrate so I was wondering how to introduce it without upsetting the crabs. (It’s 40 gallons with 3 crabs)

Crabs refusing to eat anything but sphagnum moss
My hermies get fresh and dried food every day, but still they eat nothing but the moss used for humidity purposes. What can I do to entice them to eat? I want them to survive their molts. Im new to hermies, but they’ve been with me for a couple months now. Also is previously frozen food safe for the...

Re: Smell and Limp Crab
Thank you I feel a little better. If one did pass, I hope they had an enriching last leg of life. Pet store enclosures make me sad, and they were feeding them the processed stuffs. They were bright and silly and chirpy when I first introduced them to their environment. Hopefully they are just moltin...
