Ok so I checked your right mine isn't a sandcastle consistency and your also right my hermit crab went in a different shell I must just overlooked it

Honestly I don't rlly remember the sand texture but I'll check and yes the tank is covered all the way which is why I don't understand why it's always so low

I have plastic on the lid and mist it everyday honestly I'm really worried cause I haven't been home since Friday morning and won't be back until Sunday I didn't know what to do I rlly hope if she under the ground she doesn't die

Also I don't know what to do since the wedding is tomorrow we leaving today I can't leave them alone right now but I can't take them with me

I forgot to add this she isn't in any of the other shells that was my first thought I checked
